Your video is actually what got me thinking about it. And again, all of its functions basically require looking at the display. This is an issue of substandard production or quality control. If there was a limitation to technology and this was the best we could expect then maybe it would be ok but that is not the case. The display has poor contrast while back lit and I think it is distracting! And in this case some of us are getting very expensive sub-standard display. I think this is a real issue and Garmin should take it more seriously. I actually posted a YouTube video last week comparing one of the "washed out" displays to one of the higher contrast ones. I've reached out to Garmin about this to get a formal response as it appears to be happening quite often expecting a response soon.
